Harry
Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was brought
to the big screen by Warner Bros. and debuted nationwide on Friday,
November 16, 2001. Outdoor advertising was one of the advertising media
selected to promote the film. The film starring Daniel Radcliffe was
an instant success. It shattered many revenue and attendance records
and was shown on nearly 8,200 screens nationwide or almost 25% of the
nation's total. Revenue records included the best three day debut of
any film with $90.3 million and the best single day gross ever at nearly
$33 million. Just prior to its release, awareness studies by VNU's National
Research Group showed the film at an almost unprecedented 96% awareness.
The creative shown here was computer generated on vinyl and installed
by Outdoor Impact for the film's November 16th debut. |
